WHO ARE THE AEROTROPOLIS COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS?

The Aerotropolis Atlanta Community Improvement Districts (AACIDs) are voluntary, self-taxing districts that represent commercial property owners in proximity to the Airport. Together, the AACIDs fund public safety, beautification, and transportation initiatives to make the 15-square mile area around the Airport even better and more welcoming to businesses and visitors.

The AACIDs annually invest more than $700,000 in public and private security patrols to make the Aerotropolis an ever-safer place to live and work. Additionally, $450,000 per year is invested to keep the Aerotropolis clean and beautiful through landscaping and litter pickup. The Transit Plan will continue to build on these successful investments by increasing mobility in the Aerotropolis and making it easier to live, work, and play in the area.
